Welcome to our Blog!
Remember the movie The Truman Show from 1998 and how bizarre it seemed that somebody's entire life was broadcast out to millions of viewers, unbeknown to the star of the show? Ten years later, many of us have willingly opened up our lives, in varying degrees, to the curious eyes wandering the Internet. And while our viewers may not be in the millions, there are just enough friends and family out here in cyberspace, all sharing experiences with each other, that no matter where we may be living, we need not feel alone or isolated. Kendra and I love reading about our friends experiences, viewing photographs of our friends in far away places, and watching video of those we don't see often enough. We hope you will enjoy our Blog.

Hockey Night in Vancouver
I went to Sean and Dave's hockey game tonight and took some camera gear along with me. Although the game was a bit of a dud from their perspective, they lost 5-1, I had a great time trying to capture a great photo. For the game, I used my dad's 200-400mm and then switched to an 85mm for the post game. The two action photos that I think turned out best were of our friend Joel, who scored the lone goal. Click on the link to view the slideshow. I probably should touch up the photos a little, but am heading to bed. Enjoy.

My first public sale

I have been making bows for a few months now, as most of you already know. For those who have bought some, I really appreciate all of your help and support in my little hobby. Back in February, Lance and I decided we would try to post some bows on Etsy....Well, people would look but no one would buy. I feared it was because I had no feedback and was new to the website, which may be true. However, after a few months of dedication and pursuing with it, I finally made a sale! There have been a few times where I thought, I'm never going to make enough money to cover the cost of everything I have purchased. I've also thought, is it worth all this time to make these bows when no one is going to buy them? I've had my doubts, but thanks to my Mom and loving Husband they have encouraged me to not give up and push forth. Everything takes time and this is something that definitely takes time to get noticed. Anyways, I'm not trying to brag or sound conceited, I was just really excited to see someone else (a stranger) liked me bows enough, to buy one.

Easter
Since Elizabeth was only about a month old last Easter, this year was her first time celebrating the big day. Our celebration with Elizabeth was strictly pagan, we'll get to the meaning of Easter when she is a little older.
Coloring Eggs
Elizabeth wasn't too interested in coloring the eggs, and maybe that is because she was firmly secured in her high chair. We gave her a plastic egg and that kept her occupied for most of the activity.

The finished product. The dye kit wasn't that great, at least that is what we told ourselves when we saw how horrible some of the eggs looked.
Okay, so the presentation is pretty basic, but it was an A+ meal. Kendra cooked her first ham and it was a beauty. We also had sweet potatoes, fruit salad and green beans.

Mmmmm

Sweet Little Kisses
Birthday Shades

Today was my Birthday and Lance did such a good job at picking out a gift. As he gave them to me he said, "we'll probably be going to the mall to return these..." He likes to get me nice things such as jewelry but he'll pick out the fancy stuff, which I can't wear everyday. I prefer the simple jewelry that I can wear everyday. So we always end up returning what he had picked out. I have to admit he has really good taste in things. I do LOVE my new shades though and I'm thankful to have such a caring, thoughtful and wonderful husband.
