Remember the movie The Truman Show from 1998 and how bizarre it seemed that somebody's entire life was broadcast out to millions of viewers, unbeknown to the star of the show? Ten years later, many of us have willingly opened up our lives, in varying degrees, to the curious eyes wandering the Internet. And while our viewers may not be in the millions, there are just enough friends and family out here in cyberspace, all sharing experiences with each other, that no matter where we may be living, we need not feel alone or isolated. Kendra and I love reading about our friends experiences, viewing photographs of our friends in far away places, and watching video of those we don't see often enough. We hope you will enjoy our Blog.
It's been a while since we posted anything on here. So I figured I would at least announce that we're having a GIRL! I'm due May 14th and couldn't be happier. I'm so excited for Elizabeth to have a sister to play with.
Our family photo The devil trying to steal Elizabeth's candy. Running for freedom
Tonight we had our Ward Halloween party. They served chili, cornbread and donuts for dessert. Elizabeth was dressed as a 50's girl, Lance was in the mafia and I was his mistress. Somehow throughout the night Elizabeth managed to keep her glasses on and everyone was very impressed with her. She wasn't to sure about the whole trick or treating thing. We knocked on doors for candy and she would just say "nooooo, Mama, mama, noooooo!" I ended up having to carry her part of the way. She did have fun in the gym playing with Austin who was dressed as a devil. He tried to steal her candy a few times and Elizabeth wouldn't allow it. We had a great time and are looking forward to taking Liz out tomorrow night trick or treating in the mall!
This week we decided to carve pumpkins for family night. Lance as always chose a simple pattern "Batman," then he carved a cat for Elizabeth, since it's her favorite animal. I usually go for the glory and pick something a bit more challenging. To our surprise they all turned out pretty good. We haven't lit them since that night, due to living in an apartment complex. We don't want to be blamed when the complex burns down.
Our family pic Every time music played, Liz was shaking it in front of everyone, showing off her moves.
My little cheerleader!
Last night Lance and I finally got the chance to see a Mariners baseball game at Safeco field. A friend at Church had some extra tickets, so Lance jumped on it. I wasn't to excited to go at first, since baseball isn't very exciting to watch. In fact the funnest part of the night, was dressing Liz up for the game. We had a Mariners cheer outfit from last year, we bought on clearance in hopes she would wear it to a game. Luckily, she did! The highlight of the game was seeing Ken Griffey Jr, he was the only guy I had ever heard of. Afterwards we hit up Krispy Kreme for a hot donut and 7-11 for some diet coke (Lance's addiction). It was good to get out on the weekend and have some fun.
Elizabeth is growing up so quickly, we can't call her a baby anymore, now she's a big girl!
Okay, maybe empire is a little strong, but Kendra's enterprise is plugging along nicely. In three months, she has sold 25 bows online, plus a bunch more at the mall. Kendra's wish for a sewing machine has been granted and the creative juices continue to flow. This week Kendra posted her first sewing machine project to her Etsy store, a matching bib and washcloth set. I am very impressed with Kendra's ability, especially considering her only experience is a sewing class in Jr High. If anybody has any ideas, please pass them along. Kendra's Etsy Store
